telehealth (online) consultation

what is telehealth?

Telehealth is an online consultation where we bring our Myotherapy, rehab exercise and movement therapy skills to the convenience of your home or office via a screen.

At MyoThrive we are results orientated with a strong emphasis on helping you understand and manage your own pain for longer lasting results. We have found Telehealth to be a perfect platform for this as we have to think outside the square and keep the solutions simple but on target to get the best results. We can also help post treatment with progressing your home care or we can do exercises together.

BENEFITS OF TELEHEALTH

VIDEO OF TELEHEALTH SESSION

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine from words what a session will be like. Check out  the video below of an online consultation. The protocol is assess, try something to help, retest for outcome and then make sure the customer understands. What you don’t see is the detailed “remedy routine” that was sent via email after this session and the ongoing email support available post session.

What are the treatment options?

One of the best things about Myotherapy is our amazing tool kit. This means when it comes to a fear of needles, we don’t use them. When it comes to learning that cupping really works for you, we use more of that. Different bodies and even different areas of the same body respond differently to different techniques, that’s why we have such an advantage in helping you become pain free as we have multiple things we can try to get the result of pain free, restriction free movement!

Self Treatment

Self Treatment

We can direct you exactly where to place a spiky ball, lacrosse ball, tennis ball, foam roller, peanut shaped tool or rolling pin. We will instruct you whether to hold the spot, move around on the tool or move your body part while the tool stays still. This is a great way to help release tight muscles and trigger points.

Rehab Exercise

Rehab Exercise

Rehab Exercise doesn't have to be boring! We can work with exactly what equipment or lack of equipment you have. We can keep it interesting by changing things up but keeping your goals the same. Many people love keeping a weekly rehab exercise session with us to stay on target.

Movement Therapy

Movement Therapy

Movement therapy might be used to get you out of pain, it might be used to keep you out of pain or to retrain something. All our customers get a remedy routine with only the most important exercises to help on your journey towards pain and restriction free movement.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics

We can assist you in making sure your home or office desk is set up correctly, that your chair or lounge is right for you or that your pillow and bed are right for you. We don't necessarily always make a change, but it's good to check that this isn't part of what's aggravating your pain or restriction complaint.
