What types of therapies might be involved?

One of the best things about working with us is our diverse skill set. This means we have multiple ways to tackle a pain or restriction complaint. We can not only use our massage and manual trigger point skills but can also use cupping, dry needling and movement therapy if indicated to help relieve your pain or restriction more effectively. We follow a customer centred approach so rest assured we will never use something you’re not comfortable with. See more info below.

Massage Techniques

Massage Techniques

It wouldn't be much of a remedial massage without using some great massage techniques! We can utilise manual trigger point release skills, pain and injury massage, sports massage and muscle mobilisation to help relieve tight muscles and joints.

Dry-needling

Dry-needling

We may use dry needling if a particular area is being stubborn. Dry-needling has a much faster effect on the bodies nervous system which means the trigger point and muscle will relax easier and more quickly. We will never use this technique without discussion.

Taping & Cupping

Taping & Cupping

Other modalities may include taping and cupping. Taping is usually used post treatment to support a particular area or help retrain something. Cupping is usually used for fascia release which can stop a muscle from moving freely.

Movement Therapy

Movement Therapy

Movement therapy can mean a lot of things. In this context we are referring to specific movements that we have tested help reduce or eliminate your pain or restriction. This is a great tool for you to learn as it can be utilised anywhere, anytime.
